Silhouette Lift: Non-Invasive Facial Rejuvenation

It is inevitable that we all experience sagging of our facial skin at some point in our lives. Now-a-days there are various treatment options to help ward off this component of aging. Dr. Fechner is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon and a recognized authority in rejuvenation of the face and neck. We are not only known for performing excellent facelifts, but also for using some of the least invasive procedures, and for our finesse in a range of anti-aging treatments.

The Silhouette Lift has been an instrumental tool, allowing us to offer the most innovative, non-invasive treatment options. As with any facial procedure, we want to achieve the maximum improvement while still maintaining a natural, revitalized look for you. We perform the Silhouette Lift in order to provide an excellent alternative for patients who want a “fresher” look but are not quite ready for a facelift.

How Does a Silhouette Lift Work?

The FDA-approved Silhouette Lift, as its name implies, lifts and repositions the skin in the mid-face area to reduce sagging in the jowls as well as marionette and smile lines around the mouth. After a micro-puncture is made in the facial skin, supporting sutures are strategically placed. The sutures are imbedded with small, absorbable cones. We use these special sutures to not only lift the soft tissue of the face immediately, but also stimulate collagen production over time, so improvement in the contours of the face continues for up to 6 months.

Does a Silhouette Lift Require Hospitalization?

The Silhouette Lift is performed in our office with only a local anesthetic. It takes about an hour for the procedure. The recovery time is short, allowing patients to return to normal activities within days, much quicker than with surgery.

How Long Will The Results Last?

Typically, the results will last 18 months to 2 years, though some patients report results lasting longer. The important thing to remember is that the Silhouette Lift will not slow or stop the aging process,

and this varies greatly, based on skin type, skincare regimens used, overall health and other factors. We often combine the Silhouette Lift with the use of injectibles such as facial fillers to best achieve your aesthetic goals.
